Purpose and goal

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The main focus of the project has been applied AI. However, theory sessions / seminars have been included to create a necessary basic understanding. The project has built knowledge about AI and data-driven innovation with AI elements by conducting seminars and labs. The focus has been to get the participants to understand opportunities, limitations and how to get started with creating AI-based solutions and take these insights with them to their own organizations and spread these insights further.

Expected results and effects

A number of labs has been performed and the level of knowledge has been raised about the "AI-craft". The the general non-technical understanding of has also increased. in the longer term, the increased knowledge should stimulate the initiation of and ability to implement the AI project in the county, primarily in at the seminar locations Umeå and Skellefteå. This will in turn have positive effects on companies´ efficiency and profitability. Data often has shortcomings, e.g. are categories overlapping and / or vaguely defined, features are few and personal data are difficult to remove.

Planned approach and implementation

The majority of the participants were employed in business. Half-day labs seem to suit this group quite well. Processing of lab leaders gave a clear signal that there is starting to be a demand for AI skills. Attracting women and people born abroad to the labs was not easy. The networks for IT women we received tips about seemed to be dormant. However, there were some women / persons not born in Sweden who participated in a number of labs. There was an intrinsic value of being seen physically, but the consequences of the transition to web meetings were not so great after all.
