Important results from the project
The objective of the study is to assess the possibility to execute and prepare for the coordination of a larger proposal to H2020-SU-ICT-01-2018 concerning areas a and b (IA). The objective has been reached almost completely except for that we had hoped to have another Swedish cloud security partner as part of the consortia. The purpose is to highlight the needs of SMEs in terms of needs, knowledge and possibilities within cybersecurity and in the future be able to develop and adapt methods, approaches and cybersecurity solutions for SMEs (which are almost completely missing today).
Expected long term effects
The study’s results provide a foundation to prepare a larger proposal aimed for H2020 and comprises for instance analyses, initial formation of a consortia (currently 10 partners from 6 countries), identification and definition of two use cases at SMEs. The SMEs have already now gotten input about what they need to improve in terms of cybersecurity and will start to address some of these also if we will not win the following proposal. In addition, the project has produced one paper in order to market and claim the concept (and SMEs may get some useful ideas from the paper in case of interest).
Approach and implementation
The plan and execution of the study have been simplistic and straight on. The activities are briefly outlined below: Analysis of call text Analysis of competence needs Analysis of security solutions on the market Identification and definition of two use cases concerning SMEs for the larger following proposal Initial formation of actors into a strong consortia Analysis of the following proposals strengths, weaknesses and potential ambiguities Risk analysis Analysis of the following proposal’s possibility to be executed and its impact
