Important results from the project
Implementing the activities in the project has helped to fulfill the aim of the project, which was to communicate value with production innovation, to utilize the digitalization potential and prepare companies in the manufacturing industry for the future. More specifically, the aim has been to further develop results from the graduate course P01 Produktionsinnovation 2014-16 into two new course rounds 2018-20, open and relevant for participants from both industry and academia, integrated with the ongoing R&D and test bed projects and other activities within Production2030.
Expected long term effects
The project has focused on communicating values with production innovation created in "best practice" companies in industry. This has resulted in, among other things, a doctoral dissertation and several courses. The project has had the ambition to challenge and inspire new and developed working methods and meeting places where different technology areas can be met for application in traditional engineering industry.
Approach and implementation
Completed activities: 1. Special Session "Production Innovation" at SPS2018. 2. Courses for industry participants (ie adapt content and form to both business and academic participants) 3. Study visits at companies far ahead in terms of "production innovation", both technical and organisational. 4. Communicate results to Production2030: program management, steering group, R&D council and ongoing projects. 5. Further develop, implement and apply the "production innovation assessment" tool in Produktion2030 R&D projects.
