Project duration October 2018 - April 2020
Status Ongoing

Purpose and goal

The aim of the project is to further develop the results from the PhD course P01 Production Innovation 2014-16 to two new courses 2018-20 that will be open and relevant both for industry and academia, as well as integrating the results of the Production2030 program through ongoing FoI and test bed projects and other activities.

Expected results and effects

The initiative will primarily communicate the values created today in best-practice companies in industry, as well as challenge and inspire work methods and meeting places where technology areas from digitalisation and software development can be crossfertilized with traditional engineering industry across at large. The previously developed and established PhD course P01 Production Innovation (two rounds completed 2014-16) in Production2030 would be the basis for the effort.

Planned approach and implementation

Activities: 1. Prepare and implement the workshop "Production Innovation". 2. Package the course for industry participants, and plan implementation of the course so that content and form are adapted to both corporate and academic participants. 3. Study visits to companies, focus digitization (eg machine learning, AI, AM), both technical innovation and organizationally innovative work methods. 4. Communicate results to the Production2030 Program Management. 5. Further develop, implement and apply "production innovation assessment" in Production2030 projects 2018/2019.
