Purpose and goal

The project has started with the aim of developing a competitive Horizon proposal under the New European Bauhaus on sustainable thermal comfort in buildings and their immediate surroundings. The objective is to build a strong European consortium, anchor pilot sites across several climate zones, and develop the project logic, methodology, budget and impact plan. The focus is on passive, nature-based, cost-effective and technical solutions that can be tested and scaled.

Expected effects and result

Expected results include an anchored consortium, confirmed pilot and demonstration sites, a clear work plan, budget, methodology and material for a complete Horizon proposal. The work will also define common objectives, indicators and comparable approaches for assessing thermal comfort, energy, health, social inclusion, costs and scaling. In the long term, it should contribute to reduced heat stress, uptake and stronger climate adaptation in the built environment.

Planned approach and implementation

The project is implemented through coordinated work packages covering coordination, call interpretation, consortium development, pilot anchoring, methodology, budget, work plan, impact and dissemination. The work is carried out through partner dialogues, workshops, joint quality assurance and regular follow-up with clear decision points. The focus is to gradually define roles, pilot sites, methods and resources into an anchored consortium and a complete, feasible Horizon proposal.
