Important results from the project

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The aim of the project was to contact glass and window manufacturers and understand their interest and ability to integrate our foil into their manufacturing process. Based on this improved understanding, the intention was to develop a plan to launch the ConverLight film on the market before 2021. A market analysis has been conducted and we have identified and contacted potential partners on strategically important markets. Goal fulfillment has been very good and the goal of launching the ConverLight film in 2020 will be achieved with great certainty.

Expected long term effects

During the project we have learned which type of company is best suited to partner with in order to be able to sell ConverLight foil. We have confirmed that there is a great interest among glass processors to have the opportunity to integrate ConverLight foil into their glass products. The project has also given an increased understanding of how the Scandinavian glass industry is structured and functioning. The project has also resulted in strategic collaborations with international companies that can potentially result in large sales of ConverLight foil.

Approach and implementation

The project began with a market analysis to identify glass processing companies in the premium segment in Scandinavia. We also analyzed the major players in the European glass market on the basis of a number of assessment criteria to identify which companies would be most suitable to work with to export ConverLight foil. The analysis resulted in a handful of companies being identified and contacted. Discussions are still ongoing with several of these companies. One issue that has proved difficult to resolve is the protection of existing IP and how new IP should be handled.
