Confidential Cloud Service – From Trusted Collaboration to Global Scalability

Purpose and goal

The project aims to develop and test a confidentiality-enhancing security architecture for ITSL Solutions’ HubS platform. By implementing Confidential Computing, Decrypt-on-Demand and Hold-Your-Own-Key management, the project enables lawful and secure processing of classified data in the cloud. The goal is to position HubS as Sweden’s most secure collaboration platform and prepare the launch of Confidential Cloud.

Expected effects and result

The project will deliver a working prototype proving that classified information can be processed securely in the cloud without provider access. It strengthens Swedish digital sovereignty and enables the public sector to use cloud benefits lawfully. In the longer term, it will increase efficiency, reduce costs and create export potential for confidentiality-assured cloud services.

Planned approach and implementation

The project comprises four work packages: (1) feasibility study and requirements with a pilot customer; (2) prototype development of encryption, key management and TEE integration; (3) testing and independent security review; and (4) pilot operation and evaluation in a public-sector environment. It concludes with a launch and commercialization plan for Confidential Cloud.
