Purpose and goal

The purpose of the project was to interlink and visualize the networks that already exists between clusters, incubators and science parks around the world. And together facilitate the internationalisation process for their members, primarily small and medium sized enterprises within the ICT-sector by offering free office-spaces around the world. Even if during short periods of time this concept are reducing the high costs associated with internationalization.

Results and expected effects

The project have contributed to create a international network which in the future will be possible to utilize in the future to facilitate internationalization as well for future collaborations in both networking and knowledge transfer. The outcomes are that hundreds of enterprises around the world have free access to offices in new markets and additional possibilities through these expand their businesses contacts for future business.

Approach and implementation

The initial phase of the project dealt with development and the completion of a sustainable concept that will work in real life and also is cost efficiently for all partners. Cluster 55° chose to base the network on a mou instead of a legal document and thereby lowering the entry barrier and there are no costs for partners nor using enterprises. A website has been developed and which was launched after a critical mass was insured. The feedback has been positive and more partners are joining.
