Reference number
Coordinator Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan - Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan Inst f samhällsplanering & miljö
Funding from Vinnova SEK 500 000
Project duration October 2025 - September 2026
Status Ongoing
Venture The strategic innovation program InfraSweden

Purpose and goal

The purpose of the project is twofold, firstly to run the client network for another year, and secondly to work towards a long-term ownership and financing alternative after InfraSweden. The client network, just like InfraSweden, has the long-term goal of achieving a climate-neutral construction industry by implementing more innovative solutions.

Expected effects and result

Important results and effects from the client network are increased client competence and subject matter expertise, a greater understanding of common needs, more innovation-promoting procurements that encourage and facilitate climate-smart solutions. Greater collective client competence and purchasing power is expected to result in clear environmental effects, not the least regarding the sector´s greenhouse gas emissions.

Planned approach and implementation

The client network has been active since 2021, at the initiative and management of InfraSweden. We intend to continue working with our established working method with case methodology where clients raise their issues and challenges to discuss and develop together with the network. The network will also continue with specific theme meetings. We will also continue to disseminate to more actors the "Declaration of Intent for Emission-Free Construction Contracts", developed during 2024-2025.
