Purpose and goal

The purpose of the project was to create a basis for a new urban environment at AstaZero. Most of the goals have been met. However, it has been a challenge to obtain information and input from external parties for further work. The focus has been on the physical infrastructure and less on the digital in this project. The goals that have not been fully met, however, have not led to other goals not being met.

Expected results and effects

A greater understanding of how the future urban testing environment should be designed has been achieved. The project has developed a number of concepts for mobile facades and also mobile loading docks for simulating logistics environments. Specifications and requirements of a future proof digital and communication environment in the city area has been produced. A proposal for the design of parking garages has also been developed.

Planned approach and implementation

The project has been conducted by studying and mapping how a future urban testing environment should be designed to meet the need for testing and research at the Swedish industry and academy. The need basis has been achieved through a dialogue with customers and industrial partners. Furthermore, studies of existing logistics and parking environments have been conducted, as well as guidelines for these.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
