Important results from the project
Experts in production get new ideas for scientific research that ultimately makes the Swedish manufacturing industry to the leader in new technologies and sustainable production. This goal is considered to be fulfilled.
Expected long term effects
New research collaborations, new influences and increased knowledge within the two conferences areas of expertise. These results and effects are not quantifiable during the project, but since the conferences are considered to be successful, it is reasonable to expect a good outcome.
Approach and implementation
Each conference consisted of two days with invited speakers as well as scientific presentations. The third day offered a visit at Volvo Cars. This arrangement worked well. Many participants expressed appreciation for the events.
