Purpose and goal
This project´s aim is to coordinate and strengthen Swedish participation in an international consortium to develop a competitive EPM-proposal. The proposal on characterizing and standardizing the behavior of instrument transformers (IT) during fast transients (traveling waves) in power grids. The project is being carried out in close collaboration with international standardization bodies.
Expected effects and result
The project is expected to contribute to delivering a competitive proposal that addresses the EPM call´s requirements. The work establishes and defines, for the main project: an international consortium, goals, measurement variables, use cases and methods as well as a work plan, budget and utilization plan. In addition, Sweden´s long-term role in European standardization in electricity networks and measurement technology is strengthened.
Planned approach and implementation
The work is carried out with the following planned activities: -Participation in international consortium and meetings -Coordination of methodology for characterization of instrument transformers during fast transients (150 kHz–10 MHz) -Structure of work packages, time plan, dividing responsibilities and resources in the main project -Preparation of utilization, risk and impact analysis including end-user perspective -Compilation, review and quality assurance of complete EPM proposal
