Purpose and goal
The purpose of the project is to enable testing and evaluation of Emmel’s autonomous and remotely operated unmanned ground vehicle within FMV Battle Week. The goal is to assess the solution’s relevance for protecting critical infrastructure, such as radar installations and other protected assets. The project will provide input for further development toward military and dual-use applications, focusing on patrol, detection, alerts, operator verification and remote operation.
Expected effects and result
The project is expected to assess the solution’s technical functionality, military relevance and development needs in a realistic test environment. The results will support further development of Emmel’s unmanned ground vehicle for protecting critical infrastructure and strengthen the company’s position in defence innovation. In the long term, the solution may contribute to more persistent surveillance, improved situational awareness and more efficient use of personnel.
Planned approach and implementation
The project will be carried out in three steps. First, Emmel will prepare and coordinate with FMV regarding the test setup, practical conditions and technical demonstrator. The solution will then be tested and demonstrated within Battle Week, focusing on patrol, detection, alerts, operator verification and remote operation. After the test, results, feedback and development needs will be compiled into a plan for further military and dual-use adaptation.
