Application för verification funding 2025 Stockholm University

Purpose and goal

The goal of the proposal for 2025 is to create improved conditions for developing, verifying and validating knowledge-intensive innovations at Stockholm University and to translate significant research results into practical application. The VFT funds will concretely contribute to strengthening the entrepreneurs´ business operations and better prepare them for the meeting with customers, investors and other stakeholders in a commercial context.

Expected effects and result

To evaluate the impact of business concepts based on the application of research results and the unique knowledge generated by researchers and staff at universities and university colleges, both commercial and technical validation is required. The projects are often complex and require significant capital investment to take the step from concept to market. Of crucial importance is the provision of financial support to enable evaluation, verification and validation of the projects.

Planned approach and implementation

The SU Innovation Office´s methods, work processes and tools for validation include selection, support and follow-up, including customer and market verification, validation of business concepts and implementation of proof-of-concept. Each project that is granted verification with VFT funds undergoes several defined milestones. When a project has achieved its objective and the results are evaluated, the project can be terminated.
