AI-support in the care adapted to the user´s needs

Purpose and goal

We have achieved our project goals, to increase the competence within the company to be able to secure a future commercial product with AI. As well as implementing a prototype to automatically observe user behaviors and detect deviations that can be identified using sensor data. The evaluation has taken place on, detection of changes over time and frequency of false alarms before and after the introduction of AI.

Expected results and effects

In this project, we have made a broader competence development than we normally do. This means that with the help of Vinnova we have been able to develop the skills of both more developers but also had commitment and increased understanding and future opportunities with Product manager, Business developer and Project manager. We are all positive about the conclusions and experiences we have already drawn in terms of product by running ML / AI on three of our users and see that this is clearly a viable way in our thought and vision to get a future commercial product with AI.

Planned approach and implementation

The project was divided into 5 work packages feasibility study, PoC, development, customer implementation and project management. The project feels like the right layout and implementation. However, more hours would be needed in the development to get a final prototype within the project framework. This means that the goal of increased competence development within the company has been achieved, but we have exceeded the project´s budget. Corona has also delayed the project and we have reduced the interaction with the users towards the planned.
