Purpose and goal
The project aims to minimize risks of summertime overheating in passive housing through the high heat capacity and air permeability of the wood wool walls. By open the wall to let in cool air during night and close again in the morning. The heat capacity will keep the wall cool for a large part of the day and decrease indoor temperature. The proposed project will analyse 1) the cooling effect on the indoor air temperature through computer simulations 2) investigate how to open and close the wall without negative consequences on air tightness. The expected result is a new type of air regulator.
