Academic exchange within technology and competence – Australia and Sweden

Important results from the project

With the support of granted funds, an international networking trip was carried out in order to establish and deepen contacts with relevant research environments. The trip included visits to several leading universities and research institutions. During the implementation, the following results were achieved: Establishment of research contacts: Contacts with researchers within the project´s central areas could be established and strengthened.

Expected long term effects

Mapping of competence profiles: The visits provided a clear overview of each university´s specific areas of competence and strategic strengths. In-depth understanding of research infrastructure: We gained valuable insight into the scope and capacity of the laboratory environments visited. Several of these are considered to offer good conditions for future collaboration.

Approach and implementation

* Planned a networking trip; booked available dates at each university. Where all meetings were planned so that travel time was as efficient as possible. * Meetings at each university: Presented current research, listened to their research areas, discussed where we could collaborate. * After the trip: Reported to researchers at LTU about whom they had met and contact information for each.
