Purpose and goal

In five sub-projects, DigSam has studied various problem areas that stand in the way of a coherent community-building process in aim to make recommendations for how the obstacles can be removed. The focus has been on the early planning stages of the process. The results show that the digitization of the community building process is fully possible. To achieve this, uniform and standardized data is required, which is stored in national infrastructure and is available to the various actors in the process. Knowledge is available to implement practical action at the local level.

Expected results and effects

DigSam has developed visions, clarified obstacles and provided advice and guidance. In addition, a number of recommendations and proposals for continued development projects and efforts for national and international standardization as well as concrete measures for implementation have been developed. The effects are shown by the fact that several municipalities have started the process of digitizing detailed plans. Networks have been formed that have led to increased collaboration and understanding of the processes and information volumes of incoming players.

Planned approach and implementation

In five areas, the project has analyzed existing and future process flows. Methods have been in-depth interviews, workshops and tests in local production environments as well as participation in networks, conferences, reference groups and study visits. Responsibility for the respective work packages has been distributed regionally in the country. Through regular meetings between project managers and leaders for work packages, the project has been pushed forward. The project has involved about ninety people representing different business areas.
