Cirkularitet FFI – spring 2026 |
Purpose and goal
The aim is to establish a broad consortium to develop a first-principles framework for circular vehicle design. The goal is to map regulatory frameworks and constraints, identify subsystems and research questions, and develop work packages, milestones, and budget for a full FFI-proposal that enables reduced emissions and resource use.
Expected effects and result
The project will lay the foundation for a full-scale project where a first-principles-based framework for circular vehicle design is developed. Such a framework will help vehicles be designed from a sustainability and circularity perspective, which contributes to resource conservation and reduced climate impact.
Planned approach and implementation
The feasibility study, which consists of four work packages, is designed to gradually engage the consortium partners, from initial dialogue and knowledge mapping, through joint feasibility analysis, to joint formulation of the full-scale proposal. Lund University leads the project work, while the other partners participate through workshops, interviews, resource sharing and co-creation activities.
