The purpose of the platform is to open up the networks, facilitate innovation collaborations and enable a more efficient contact between tech companies and investors, at national and international level. It can also be used as a knowledge base to obtain facts and statistics on various aspects of the ecosystem, such as the number of startups in different areas.
- Sweden Tech Ecosystem shows the breadth of Swedish innovation within our country. Swedish startups and tech companies are an important and growing sector in Sweden. As the government now has access to better data on how these companies develop and where they are located, we will be given better conditions to support the sector through policy initiatives, says Minister of Trade and Industry Ibrahim Baylan.
Through the launch, Sweden will become part of the network of platforms that also includes France, the United Kingdom, Berlin and Amsterdam. The platform's data is continuously updated via a combination of AI, algorithms and APIs that continuously scan public sources. Extensive data is available without membership and a free account can be created for anyone who wishes to access all features.
The work with Sweden Tech Ecosystem is carried out as a government collaboration between Business Sweden, the Swedish Institute, the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth and Vinnova.
