Last minute tips for a great proposal

Remind yourself of the purpose of this call. When working on something, it is very humane to get lost in the details and specifics. Remember to zoom out once more and remind yourself of the purpose of this call: spark imagination, ignate social discussions of possible futures, and hopefully stimulate to constructive action towards desired futures.

Double check your pitch. Present your idea to a friend or talk about it with a family member. See which parts make their eyes light up and where do they seem confused. See if you can edit, simplify, clarify or better explain some parts of your proposal.

Skip the tactics. There are some myths related to how to write a good application for public funding. They probably exist for a reason but are totally unnecessary. For example, using the exact word choices that we have used in our call text will not add any points. Neither does estimating the budget with the accuracy of 1 öre. Do accurate estimates for you budget but skip the tactics. The evaluators are not robots, but different professionals with different backgrounds. They are looking for applications with potential to reach the goal of the call and that realistically describe how the project will be executed.
