The program Effective and connected transport systems is a sub-program within FFI and includes logistics and control of passenger transport, freight transport and vehicle fleets, services, service and maintenance of vehicles and the characteristics of vehicles and technical structure. How much can you apply for?

There is no limit, but the guideline is a maximum of 50 percent of the total project budget. Each single project needs at least 25 percent co-financing from the private sector. Financing is granted for a maximum of 4 years.

    With this offer, we want to create more opportunities for the automotive industry to use innovations and research's results to reach the transport objective in Sweden.

    The offer is aimed at project that contribute to efficient and sustainable utilization of time, vehicles and infrastructure for freight and passenger transportation. We want to encourage initiatives that increase competence in the automotive sector and create development with the help of innovation and research in collaboration.

    Priority research and programme areas are:

    • Customized transport solutions
    • Vehicle and mobility services (services for automation and electromobility, service and maintenance, and support )
    • Road and IT infrastructure
    • Regulations, standardization and law
    • Business models linked to new innovative technology
    • Man in the changed system

    Over the next few years, the FFI-EUTS project demanding more emphasis in programme "human" and "business models" programme and less emphasis on "vehicles". Project within EUTS is expected to focus on the system benefits of a connected and collaborative transport system. In the case of proposal , several of the programme areas (see page 8 in the roadmap) must be included and stated.

    Allow enough time to complete the application

    After you've submitted your application

    Once your application has been registered, we'll send a confirmation email to the person responsible for the user account, as well as to the project manager and the company signer. Please note that this may take a few hours after you submitted your application.

    After the closing date, you can't register any new information. You may only add information to your application if we ask for it.

    Who can read your application?

    Applications submitted to us become official documents. However, we don't disclose information about business operations, inventions or research results if it can be assumed that someone will suffer economic damage if we do.

    This means that we must disclose the documents if someone requests them. However, we can black out information if we believe it could cause economic harm if disclosed.
