What is the offer about?
With this the offer, we want to support project with actors along the entire value chain within software-intensive systems and services. The areas of application can come, for example, from the automotive sector, biomedical engineering, internet services, the security industry, the production area or the area of software development itself.
In order to receive funding, the results must be relevant to the competitiveness of Swedish business and industry. Expected results of the projects are, for example, prototypes and demonstrators of interest to potential customers in an international market. For a successful proposal for greater funding for Vinnova, it is normally required to focus on major industrial challenges with participation from both larger companies, SMEs and academia / research institutes. At least one company with a Swedish place of business must participate.
ITEA Office offers support during consortium construction and organizes, for example, the network day ITEA - Project Preparation Days where there is an opportunity to pitch your idea and discuss with potential partners.

The application process in several steps
The application process to ITEA takes place in several steps as below.
1. First, the entire international consortium submits a first outline, a so-called Project Outline, to ITEA (not to Vinnova).
The sketches that are judged to have the greatest potential will have the opportunity to submit a complete proposal. In connection with ITEA sending out information about which project proposals are given the opportunity to submit a complete proposal, feedback is also given on how you can improve proposal.
3. The complete proposal from the international consortium is assessed and the applications that are approved are given a so-called label. This means that the national consortia are given the opportunity to submit applications to each country's funding public authority. It is at this stage that the Swedish consortium is invited to submit a proposal to Vinnova.
4. Based on your applications, both to ITEA and Vinnova, as well as a possible project interview, Vinnova makes a final assessment of whether you receive funding or not.
Proposal
Proposal takes place on ITEA's website. It is possible to contact Vinnova to discuss your project and your budget before you submit your proposal.
