  • What is the offer about?

With this the offer, we want to support international collaborative projects with actors along the entire value chain for smart electronics systems. The projects can touch on everything from sensors to integrated electronics products. The solutions may be intended to be applied in, for example, the automotive sector, biomedical engineering, the security industry or the production area. The call for proposal is made within the framework of the EUREKA cluster EURIPIDES², an international innovation cluster for smart electronics.

In order to receive funding, the results must be relevant to the competitiveness of the Swedish business community. Expected results of the projects are, for example, prototypes and demonstrators of interest to potential customers in an international market. For a successful proposal on national funding for Vinnova, participation from both major companies, SMEs and academia / research institutes is normally required.  At least one Swedish company must participate.

EURIPIDES² Office offers support during the consortium construction and among other things they are involved in organizing a networking event January 12-13. It is also possible to upload and share project ideas in ECS Collaboration Tool. See more info under the links below.

Sweden is not a member of the EUREKA cluster PENTA and does not support project in pure micro- and nanoelectronics within EUREKA. However, through the joint call that PENTA and Euripides have the opportunity for Swedish actors to collaborate with actors from countries that support PENTA.

    What is EURIPIDES²?

EURIPIDES² is an innovation cluster for smart electronics. The cluster is part of EUREKA where generic technologies of major importance for European competitiveness are developed.

The application process in several steps

The application process for EURIPIDES² takes place in several steps as below.

    1. First you send an outline, a so-called project outline (PO), to EURIPIDES² (not to Vinnova).
    2. EURIPIDES² and Vinnova assess the proposal and if it is of sufficient quality you are offered to submit a complete proposal, a so-called full project proposal (FPP).
    3. The complete proposal from the international consortium is assessed and the applications that are approved receive a so-called label. This means that the national consortia are given the opportunity to submit applications to each country's funding public authority. It is at this stage that the Swedish consortium is invited to submit a proposal to Vinnova.
    4. Based on the applications and a project interview, Vinnova makes a definitive assessment whether you receive funding or not.

    Application

Proposal takes place on the EURIPIDES² website. You are welcome to contact both Vinnova and EURIPIDES² to discuss your project and your budget before submitting your application.
