Strategic innovation program LIGHTer 2022

With this the offer, we want to initiate feasibility studies and FoI- project in cross-industry collaborations. The projects will generate knowledge in the form of new solutions, new methods, new demonstrators and new skills in all areas where lightweight is of interest. This will lead to increased sustainability and strengthened competitiveness in Swedish lightweight technology.

The offer in brief

What can you apply for?

Research and innovation project of a maximum of 3 years for the development of new lightweight technology with industrial applications. Feasibility studies of a maximum of 1 year that evaluate new ideas with potential for FoI- project.

Who can apply?

Consortia of companies, institutes, universities, university colleges, public actors and other legal entities with activities in Sweden. At least two need-owning companies with concrete industrial needs. Commitment of SMEs is encouraged.

How much can you apply for?

The call´s total budget is SEK 45 million. The maximum grant level for FoI- project is 50 percent. For feasibility studies, funding of a maximum of SEK 800,000 can be applied for, corresponding to a maximum of 80 percent of the eligible costs.

    To apply for funding, you need to log in and complete an application form in our eServices portal. The application form contains questions about your project, the participants taking part in the project and your budget. 

    Please allow enough time

    Please keep in mind that it takes time to complete an application. Filling in the templates can take several days, since they're based on analyses you need to do. Therefore, start the application well in advance. You can start filling in your details, then save and continue at a later time.

    When you've completed your application, please mark it as done ("klar"). You can unlock and make changes to your application at any time until the call closes. If you unlock your application, you must mark it as done ("klarmarkera") if you want the application registered when the call closes. 

    This happens when the call is closed

    Once your proposal has been registered, we will email a confirmation to the person in charge of the user account and to the project manager and company signatory. This may take a few hours after the call is closed. If you have not received a confirmation within 24 hours after the call has closed, get in touch with us.

    When the call is closed, you can not change or fill in any new information. Then you can only complete your proposal if we ask for it.

    Who can read your proposal?

    Applications submitted to us become public documents. But we do not disclose information about the business, inventions or research results if it can be assumed that someone is suffering financial damage if the information is shown.

    This means that we must release the documents if someone requests them. However, we keep confidential the information that we believe could cause financial damage if it is disclosed.
