The Swedish Competence Centres Programme is a ten-year investment in 28 Competence Centres at 8 universities, which started in 1995. The Centres are funded and evaluated stage by stage by international expert teams. This volume contains the reports from the third reviews of 19 Competence Centres carried out after 7 ½ years of Centre activities and also a summary report by the Competence Centre experts John Baras and Per Stenius. In all 43 distinguished international experts participated in the reviews. Their recommendations are used by the Centres and their partners - the industrial partners, the universities, VINNOVA and the Swedish Energy Agency for considerations and decisions for further development.
This evaluation was made in co-operation with STEM - The Swedish Energy Agency
