VINNOVA’s Working Life initiatives aim to strengthen innovative capacity in industry and the public sector. They contribute to sustainable growth by improving organizational conditions for competitiveness and growth. The emphasis is on organization and management systems – the goal, global competitiveness.
Swedish industry and working life is continuously changing and adapting. To meet future challenges, Swedish companies and organisations must develop the capacity for innovation, creativity and renewal. Individuals and companies must be afforded opportunities to cope with the changes that global development and increased competition bring. Operational efficiency and value creation need to be combined with social responsibility. Managing and organising work is not just a vital focus for research but also a question for public discussion.
VINNOVA’s efforts in this area involve companies and organisations from various sectors. Central to this are processes of innovation and change in and around companies, including various aspects of work organisation and operational management plus industrial and organisational change.
The initiatives are being implemented under four programmes: Management and Work Organisation Renewal, Innovation Processes and Entrepreneurship, Dynamic Innovation Systems in Change and Needs-Driven Gender Research for Innovation.
