Develops Sweden's innovation capacity for sustainable growth and benefiting society
This Summary Report presents the main results of an impact analysis of VINNOVA's and the Swedish Energy Agency's joint competence centres programme. The programme, which involves 28 centres, started up in 1995, with the intention to operate up to 10 years. The programme approach was inspired by foreign models, in particular NSF's Engineering Research Centres, and has clearly meant a renewal of the Swedish RTDI system. The present impact analysis regards the first eight years of the programme, i.e. 1995 - 2003.
