VINNOVA's Annual Conference 2010

Innovation for Attractive and Sustainable Cities

Reserve the 20th of October!

How will and can attractive and sustainable cities also be a driving force for industry and not just an environmental talking point?

Sweden is well advanced in terms of efforts towards a green conversion of society, but what are we doing to ensure this also leads to business opportunities, new markets and continued growth and competitiveness for Sweden? How will we ensure that Sweden is at the forefront (or takes the lead) concerning innovation for attractive and sustainable cities?

The following will be discussed:

  • What is happening internationally within the area of innovation for attractive and sustainable cities?
  • What are Sweden’s competitive advantages and how should we utilise them?
  • How should state, industry, academia and policymakers collaborate so that Swedish initiatives are powerful and effective?
  • How do we ensure that test and demonstration structures such as the proposed model green community Norra Djurgårdsstaden, are developed into national and international assets?
