In what way can Europe's research community become more competitive, more coordinated and more attractive to researchers? What were the conclusions of the Swedish Presidency? VINNOVA welcomes you to a conference on the development of the European Research Area, ERA and the European R&D programmes, on March 23 in Stockholm.
The aim with the Framework Programme conference - Spelplan Europa, is to provide information on European research initiatives and collaboration programmes and to inspire increased Swedish participation. The day starts with a presentation of the development of the European Research Area, ERA, and the contents of the European Commission's new strategy - EU2020. The conclusions of the Swedish Presidency and the Spanish Presidency R & D priorities will also be presented.
In the afternoon some examples of European research initiatives and programmes, where Sweden has a prominent role, will be given. Among these projects are the Joint Technology Initiative ARTEMIS within ICT-research and the Alzheimer Pilot within Joint Programming.
