Research funding and structural funds

On June 22, the VINNOVA Brussels office held a workshop on "Research funding and structural funds - Implementation in Sweden and the Czech Republic" with support from the European Commission and the Swedish and Czech Permanent Representations to the EU.  

The workshop focused on the synergy between the Seventh Framework Program for R&D (FP7), the Competition and Innovation Program (CIP) and the Structural Funds. About 86 billion euro are earmarked for innovation, including entrepreneurship, within the Structural funds during the period 2007-2013, i.e. more than what is available through the FP7.  The theme at this first workshop, was how these funds are distributed in Sweden and in the Czech Republic.
