Technology Foresight

The use of technology foresight as a tool is increasing and it has become almost a “trade mark” of methodical futurological studies that generate broadly-based results.
 
Foresight work is conducted in the form of strong national programmes in the major European countries. There are several initiatives at the EU level, not least within the framework of the sixth framework programme for R&D. Foresight work is equally relevant in regions, industrial sectors, organisations or individual companies.

VINNOVA has defined technology foresight as an operational area. In this area we work with:
