The task of TRANSAM is to co-ordinate transport research in Sweden. The aim is to increase the continuity of transport research as well as the level of co-ordination between the programmes of different authorities.
The State invests a total of SEK 1 000 million in research, development and demonstration (RD&D) in the transport field each year. More than a dozen authorities fund or conduct RD&D in this field.
Around 10 authorities are involved in this collaboration. VINNOVA is responsible for the co-ordination work.
