VINNOVA, The Swedish Forest Industries Federation and The Swedish Federation of Wood and Furniture Industries have signed an agreement on the implementation of a sectoral R&D programme for the Swedish forest-based industry. The programme covers the period 2006 – 2012, is jointly funded by the State and the industries involved and is aimed at players in, or closely associated with, the Swedish forest-based industry.
The overall objectives of the programme are to promote sustainable growth, strengthen the international position and competitiveness of the Swedish forest-based industry and contribute to a successful Swedish involvement in European Research Framework programme. The programme focuses on sections of the National Research Agenda (NRA), primarily those relating to wood and wood processing and pulp-paper.
The programme is closed since June 2009 for applicants.
Eva Esping is in charge of the programme at VINNOVA.
