The demand for lighter designs is growing for a broad spectrum of products. In Sweden, conditions are favourable for development and growth in the field.
VINNOVA supports the development of effective technology platforms for light materials. The programme aims to increase the level of knowledge in the field and to develop expertise and the ability to collaborate among the end users of the technology.
The programme has a sub-programme called Teman. This is a major project in which universities and colleges are working with other players towards an objective based on industrial needs. Two calls have been issued under the Teman programme, one in 2004 and one in 2005.
