BioNanoIT is a multidisciplinary programme for RD&D that links biosciences to micro/nano sciences and IT.
The overall objective of the programme is to create the preconditions under which the Swedish innovation system can achieve global cutting-edge competitiveness in the BioNanoIT field and thus contribute to sustainable economic growth.
The programme also aims to stimulate increased co-operation in the combined area BioNanoIT and with players in the innovations system in accordance with the Triple Helix concept.
A call was issued in 2002.
