VINN Excellence Center

VINN Excellence Centers provide a forum for collaboration between the private and public sectors, universities and colleges, research institutes and other organisations that conduct research.

The Centres deal with both basic and applied research and they work to ensure that new knowledge and new technological developments lead to new products, processes and services.

VINNOVA’s ambition is to establish 25 different VINN Excellence Centers that will be funded for a period of 10 years.

In April 2005, VINNOVA selected four VINN Excellence Centers in the field of transport and working life. In June 2006 VINNOVA selected another fifteen centers.

Today VINNOVA is funding 18 VINN Excellence Centers.

Mattias Lundberg is responsible for the programme.
